Skin Therapy

Melissa Rushing is an interdisciplinary expert in the world of skincare. Her training and experience in the medical, holistic and aesthetic aspects of the beauty and skin health industry span from New York to Los Angeles. Her early career was spent interpreting the needs of an A-List clientele in preparation for the red carpets of Hollywood and as lead make up artist on one of the most famous runways in the world, The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

A vast knowledge in technique, products and marketing of this billion dollar business led, naturally, to what would become a game-changer for North Mississippi. In 2006 Melissa founded Bella Derma Organic Day Spa in Columbus, Mississippi which raised awareness of the importance of a healthy and balanced lifestyle for both clients and team members.

Melissa’s expert knowledge and need for sharing have led her home to Madison where
she now focuses her efforts on providing Non-Invasive Medical Grade Results™ through practice, product and education.

Nestled in the enclave of The Town of Lost Rabbit, this natural evolution of the Bella Derma practice provides next level results without surgery and in an environment that cultivates self care habits and knowledge that produce the best results from the inside out.

Skye Jennings began her journey in aesthetics shortly after graduating high school in Wesson, Mississippi, in 2019. That August, she enrolled at the Mississippi Institute for Aesthetics and completed her training in February 2020 — launching a career rooted in connection, confidence, and helping others feel their very best.

Before fully stepping into the aesthetics world, Skye spent several years working in a variety of roles that shaped her heart for service and hospitality — from working at a local loaded tea shop to helping her father at a camp in Crystal Springs, where she assisted in preparing meals and caring for campers and counselors. Those experiences helped cultivate the warm, welcoming spirit clients immediately feel when they meet her.
In October 2022, Skye discovered her passion for waxing and quickly fell in love with the artistry, precision, and confidence it brings to her clients. Her gentle personality, attention to detail, and ability to make others feel comfortable have made her a natural in the treatment room.
In September 2023, she married the love of her life, whom she describes as “the yin to my yang,” bringing calm and balance to her energetic spirit.
Outside the spa, Skye loves baking sourdough and creating homemade sweet treats for the people she loves. Whether she’s cooking, baking, or providing aesthetic services, she believes the secret ingredient is always care and intention. She pours that same love into every appointment, ensuring each client feels comfortable, cared for, and as though they’ve known her their entire lives.
At Bella Derma | Life Spa, Skye is passionate about creating an experience that feels both results-driven and deeply personal — where every guest leaves feeling more confident, refreshed, and genuinely cared for.
